Steve Huculiak
is a multi-disciplinary artist - mid/emerging career artist and established design consultant - creating art, designing buildings and visioning communities large and small. This dedicated passion for transforming building design and the urban built environment into captivating creative works now re-shapes Steve's unique & visionary art practice.
This broad range of design experience over 48 years in Vancouver, Toronto, and currently Kelowna, has honed his notably high quality skills in drawing, designing and painting. Utilising this diverse skill set Steve brings a unique and innovative approach to his projects creating visually artistic thought-provoking concepts and images.
Steve has embraced his art practice now full time at his home studio painting in oils, acrylic and watercolour and reaching out to local and other BC galleries to establish new pathways of community and dynamic collaborations. Larger works are his current focus aiming to secure visual and public art commissions through exhibitions, gallery shows and sales.
A deep appreciation for the intrinsic value of the natural environment and indigenous cultures is a driving force behind his work. Steve recognizes the importance of integrating cultural heritage and environmental consciousness into his designs, ensuring harmonious and sustainable art and spaces that resonate with their surroundings.
His commitment to enhancing the cultural fabric of communities is further evident in his current role serving as a Board Director for the Kelowna Art Gallery, Chair of the Art Acquisitions Committee for the City of Kelowna and past Board President of the Alternator Gallery Kelowna.
I am a passionate supporter of all artists and their creative processes.

The design process in land development is complex and filled with variables. It is here, at the very beginning, that the best creative ideas can be explored virtually as the project design developes.
Land Acknowledgment
Acknowledging the unceded territories on which we live and work is not only an act of recognition, but also an essential step towards reconciliation and decolonization.
By honoring the rightful Indigenous stewards of the land, we pay tribute to their deep connection with the territory, their cultures, and their rich heritage.
Steve Huculiak lives and works on the the traditional, ancestral and unceded tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (land) of the syilx okanagan people.
