Soundwave Fire is a Series of oil and watercolour paintings inspired at my visit to the Soundwave Music Festival on Vancouver Island.

Here are the works done from photographs collected of the daily bon-fires at our oceanside camp site.

The fires were made by using large driftwood pieces that have been washed up and set within the rugged landscape of BC the coastline.

The attempt here was to emulate the fires’ easy poetic shapes within the arrangement of materials set by the artist.
